Jane Ashley Huey, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVO, is an ophthalmologist at Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Cordova.

Dr. Huey grew up right across the Mississippi river in Clarkedale, AR, but has lived in many places over the last several years. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Then, she attended Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine to obtain her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She also performed a rotating small animal internship at the University of Missouri in Columbia for one year.

After that, she completed a three-year residency in ophthalmology and received her master’s in biological science from Kansas State University. After living in the Southeast and Midwest, Dr. Huey was ready for a big change, so she moved to San Diego, CA, where she practiced veterinary ophthalmology for two years.

In addition to her love of dog and cat eyes, Dr. Huey has a passion for equine ophthalmology and enjoys helping out local zoos with their exotic animals. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, being outdoors, biking, all water sports, cooking and eating, reading, and developing a pastime of running.

From Happy Pet Owners

  • “Forever thankful to kind, sweet, gentle, wonderful Dr. Tina Brown. Our 3 year old girl has been sick for months, but after one month she is back to feeling her happy, playful self again. It feels wonderful to have such an excellent support system in place when I need help.”
