Rebecca Stokes, DVM, Diplomate ACVS, is a surgical specialist at Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Cordova. 

Dr. Rebecca Stokes grew up in the small, rural town of Huntingdon, TN. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a minor in Biology from The University of Tennessee at Martin. From there, she attended veterinary school at Mississippi State University.

Upon graduation in 2018, she went on to complete a small animal rotating internship at Texas A&M University followed by a surgical internship at the Veterinary Orthopedic & Sports Medicine (VOSM) Group in Maryland. She then spent the next three years at Iowa State University completing her small animal surgical residency, concluding in 2023.

Dr. Stokes is excited to return to Tennessee and begin her career as a surgeon at Memphis Veterinary Specialists. She enjoys many facets of small animal surgery but has a strong passion for surgical oncology, reconstructive surgery, minimally invasive surgery, fracture repair, and teaching.

In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants/breweries/coffee shops, hiking with her Brittany (Lily), napping with her cat (Birch), traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
