Amy Walsh
Amy Walsh, DVM, is an emergency veterinarian at Memphis Veterinary Specialists & Emergency in Cordova.
Dr. Amy Walsh earned a BS in biology from the University of Southern Mississippi and her DVM from Mississippi State University. Following a one-year internship in the greater Chicago area and two years practicing emergency medicine in New Orleans, she moved to Memphis and has been with the MVSE Emergency department since 2008.
Dr. Walsh is a member of the AVMA, MSCVMA, and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS). Her professional interests include pain management, toxicology, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Dr. Walsh is certified in both basic and advanced life support by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
When she’s not on duty, Dr. Walsh enjoys taking ballet and Pilates classes, cooking, and spoiling her dog, Tchefuncte. She is also a longtime volunteer with the Baptist Centers for Good Grief, regularly giving time to monthly grief support groups and summer camps for local children and teens who have recently lost a loved one.
